I'm going to my first Open Space conference - the Agile Open Northwest Conference in Portland, Oregon.

As I understand it, the idea with Open Space events is to let the attendees self-organize the sessions and topics by voting with their feet.

So if I wanted to talk about how to make Agile work with distributed teams or remote customers, I would propose that as a topic in the beginning, and others would indicate their interest in that (versus other proposed topics).

And even once sessions are scheduled, the idea is that people drift from session to session, staying if the content resonates with them, or moving on if it does not.

I'm pretty interested in seeing how it all works out.
