Ford canceled the $200 million Everest project (Web purchasing project).

The article of ADMag lists several causes for the failure including end-user expectations, integration issues. In the project management side several questions arise. Was there any early warning indicators that could have helped Ford detect the slippage and cancel or correct the project? Did the strategic decision to implement the system made sense now that the old one is considered to go on.

Great article!
